Tradition of the Fishmarket in Gdansk is reaching back to 1343 when it has been created by the Great Master of the Knights of the Cross: Ludolf König.

From the very beginning the Fishmarket of Gdansk was supplying the citizens

fo Gdansk with fresh fish and sea food. The only condition was that the Knights of the Cross have the privilege to get best fishes before anybody else. Soon it

turned out, that the fishmarket was dominated by Kashubian people – and especially Kashubian women, which were said to have a sharp tongue when

spreading the latest gossips. In the course of the time the Kashubian folklor

created the special character of this part of the city.

 

 The FISHMARKT-RESTAURANT on the Fishmarket is destinated to pick up the tradtion and to contribute with some Kashubian dishes and interior to the former culture of Kashubian way of life. We are on the way to create in our FISHMARKT-RESTAURANT with the MENU a culinary highlight-event for our guests. Our SERVICE-TEAM will be happy only, when our guests are satisfied with an individual dinner, business-lunch in the seperated room or buffet for a family or business meeting.
